Green Apple Smoothie Recipe

This is definitely a beginner’s green smoothie that even children will enjoy. Sometimes it’s hard for children, or even adults, to want to eat or drink something green, but when you show them the green apple and tell them it’s a smoothie, it helps make the concept acceptable—certainly more acceptable than a parsley or spinach smoothie!

  • Ingredients

    1 green apple
    1 kiwi, peeled
    1/2 cucumber
    1 cup spinach
    1 celery stalk, cut into pieces
     

    1 1/2 cup filtered water
    1/2 lime, juiced
    1 cup ice
    1 banana

  • Directions

    Options:
    1 collard green leaf for extra nutrients
    Replace 1/2 cup water with organic green tea for added antioxidants and extra energy
    1 tablespoon soaked chia seeds

    Directions:
    Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
    Depending on your type of blender and desired thickness, you may need to add some extra water.
