DIGESTIVE RESTORE PROTOCOL (GI Tract)
Do you know that excess acid doesn't cause acid reflux in your stomach?
Do you know that the stomachs resting pH should be an acidity of 4 pH?
Do you know that before the stomach can empty into the small intestine, the pH of its contents must reach a 2 pH?
Do you know that colon cancer is the 3rd leading cause of death by cancer in the USA?
Do you know that before trans-dermal patches and creams, the second fastest way to deliver a drug to the bloodstream was a rectal suppository?
Do you know that the colon is normally not more than 4 inches in diameter, but it can expand up to four times that size if impacted with waste?
I have assisted thousands of patients over the years with gastrointestinal issues. I have story after story of poor digestion correcting itself with simple diet changes and herbal/nutritional supplements. Did you know that you should have a bowel movement after each meal if your digestion is working properly? Imagine a colon impacted to the point that things just aren't moving well, yet it is still absorbing like it is designed.
What do you think it's absorbing? Need I say more? If we went on a picnic, you brought deviled eggs, and the temperature is 98.6 degrees, how long would it take for the eggs to go bad in the sun? Not long at all, right? If the inside of your body is around 98.6 degrees and you eat something that stays in your stomach for 2,3,4,7,9 hours, do you think the food might go bad? Of course, it would.
This is the case for those who suffer from "acid reflux". When the stomach pH doesn't drop fast enough for the food to be broken down to empty into the intestines quickly enough, the food putrefies in the stomach causing gas, and pathogenic fermentation. This gives rise to eruptions into the esophagus as the stomach churns its contents, trying to mix the contents with the hydrochloric acid that has been produced so that everything can empty and be digested. In the squeezing, churning, and mixing that the stomach does in its part of the digestive process, back pressure and gas build up and pushes upward causing reflux.
Taking an anti-acid or some sort of alkali treatment only compounds the problem, and poisons you in the process. Reducing, neutralizing or eliminating the acid in the stomach relieves the symptoms temporarily, but leaves you in a worse state physiologically. Neutralizing the stomach acid causes everything inside of it to become toxic waste (bad food), and this travels down the GI tract further intoxicating you. This also gives rise to more frequent infection, due to the fact that the hydrochloric acid in the stomach is designed to neutralize pathological microbes, if it is suppressed, you remove the gatekeeper.
The acidity of the stomach triggers the small intestine, gallbladder, and the pancreas to neutralize the 2 pH contents coming out of the stomach with enzymes and bile salts. If the stomach contents are alkaline, the whole process is disrupted, and malabsorption is imminent.
If food isn't digested by the time it reaches the colon, it's perfect food for parasites and other microbes that can grow in our guts. This gives rise to Candida overgrowth, parasitic infection, bloating and gas.
What do we do about this?
